What is Nikah Gate?

Nikah Gates – Developed by Masjid Tawhid

  • Purpose & Vision

    • A unique platform designed to facilitate marriage while upholding Islamic values and safeguarding privacy.

    • Inspired by the vision to “open the gates” for individuals seeking marriage in a halal, dignified, and family-centred manner.

    • Provides a structured space where connections are made under the guidance of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

  • Family-First Approach

    • Wali (male guardians) are involved from the very beginning.

    • Applications for brothers and sisters are kept completely separate to maintain proper boundaries.

    • Each gender completes a dedicated form relevant to their role in the process.

  • Application & Access

    • Once submitted, all applications are securely stored in a database.

    • On a quarterly basis, approved candidates receive an email granting access to a web-portal where they can browse the profiles.

    • Candidates may view potential matches within a framework of Islamic etiquette and responsibility.

  • Discretion & Security

    • Names are not shared on the spreadsheet, only wali details or nominated contacts are visible. 

    • Profiles are presented in a way that protects privacy while allowing meaningful consideration.

    • No direct contact takes place between candidates themselves.

    • All initial communication is conducted via the sister’s wali, ensuring dignity, respect, and Islamic propriety.

  • Role of the Masjid

    • Once families connect through the Wali or nominated contacts, Masjid Tawhid steps back completely.

    • From that point onward, families independently decide whether to proceed further.

    • The Masjid acts solely as a facilitator, not as a matcher, mediator, or decision-maker.

  • Core Principles

    • Structured processes that are clear, respectful, and transparent.

    • Strong family involvement at every stage.

    • Full adherence to Islamic principles, providing a spiritually sound and culturally considerate path to marriage.

Fill in an application

Please complete an application form with your personal information and details about your ideal spouse. Separate application forms are provided for brothers and sisters.

Application Fee

Upon completion of the application, a fee of £10 will be required. This will be an annual fee.

Application process

​Upon receipt of the payment, the administrative team at Masjid Tawhid will approve your application and add it to the database.

Final Step

Approved candidates will be granted access to the Nikah Gate Portal, which contains the details of other approved applicants. 

The Parties may then reach out to one another to facilitate the initial steps toward marriage.
