لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ الَّذِي يَشْبَعُ وَجَارُهُ جَائِعٌ
He is not a believer who eats to his stomach fill whilst his neighbour is hungry'
Graded Sahih (Al-Bani)
WHAT IS IT?
The Food Bank aim is to help our vulnerable neighbours in our community who are struggling to access basic food, provisions and needs. As a masjid we want to do more to help the community around us.
We are supporting families every week with basic needs. A lot of these people struggling are our very own muslim brothers and sisters. A fully discreet service for our users.
As a Muslim community living in the UK, we must make it a priority to ensure that those around us do not go to sleep hungry. We must make sure we are at the forefront of providing food and striving hard to eradicate hunger in our community.
This is a discreet service for anyone who is having difficulty in purchasing food to avoid hunger. You just simply need to turn up.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are many ways to get involved with the Food Bank, firstly informing struggling families of our facilities. Secondly you can volunteer at the Food Bank, whether it be helping distribute the food or helping with collections of food items from our regular donators.
Thirdly you can donate specifically to the Masjid’s Food Bank.
