al-Hamdu lillaah, Eid-ul-Adha will be on Tuesday 15th October 2013 in shaa' Allaah.

Eid Mubaarak - taqabbal Allaah minnaa wa minkum! May Allaah accept our good deeds and yours. We ask Allaah 'azza wa jall to accept our good deeds from the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, which many scholars regard to be the best 10 days of the year.

10:00 am : Imam Muhammad Athar

May Allah grant all Muslims a happy and enjoyable Eid.

As last year, Masjid al-Tawhid is supporting Ar-Rahmah Welfare Organisation in Islamabad, Pakistan to provide a Qurbani/Udhhiya service for Eid al-Adhaa. Ar-Rahmah Welfare Organisation also operates an Orphan Sponsorship programme.

Ar-Rahmah Welfare Organisation hope to provide a personal and hands-on service that most other charities lack. Most charities are content to slaughter all their livestock in the more accessible large camps, rather than trouble themselves to go deep into the hills. We, through our network of schools, try to get the meat to the most inaccessible areas. There we help the poorest people who otherwise would not have meat on Eid.

Additionally, this year Al-Rahmah will be able to arrange the sacrifice not only in Pakistan but also in Syria, Burma and Afghanistan.

Alhamdulillaah, some volunteers have arranged for tahajjud prayers to be held at the masjid during the last ten nights of Ramadan. The tahajjud prayer will start at 1am and continue till 2:15am in shaa' Allaah, and will be led by our Imam Abd-ul-Ghaffar. Prayers will commence from the night of Sunday-Monday, corresponding to the early hours of 29th July in shaa' Allaah.

The masjid will be open for both brothers and sisters.

As it is in the middle of the night, please ensure you park sensibly with minimum noise. Please enter and leave the masjid calmly, and please do not loiter around the masjid. Parents with children are requested to keep their children with them at all times, and supervise them.

Finally, if anyone wishes to volunteer to help during these nights then please contact the masjid office.

May Allaah help us to make the best use of these nights, and enable us to seek out the Night of Qadr :

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

- al-Qur'an, Soorat-ul-Qadr (97)
