al-Hamdu lillaah, the Children's Workshop on The True Story of Jesus (as) was extremely well received by both children and parents alike. About 115 children participated in three sessions.

UPDATE : Unfortunately, due to a change in the Shaykh's itinerary, he will not be visiting the masjid as previously planned. However, he will be at Tayyibun Institute in Whitechapel, presenting a lecture for Sisters only on Monday 19 Dec 2011, 12.30pm – 3pm.

Previous announcement :

The renowned reciter from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Abdullah bin Ali Basfar, will visit Masjid al-Tawhid on Monday 19th December 2011 in shaa' Allaah, and will lead the Maghrib prayer.

All are welcome.



Alhamdu lillaah, the Women's Parenting Course held on 10th December at the Masjid was a great success. Maa shaa' Allaah, over 150 sisters attended and benefited from this inspiring and educational series of lectures by Sr Rahmah Abdul-Latif, an experienced mother and trained counsellor.

The first Waltham Forest Council of Mosques (WFCOM) Awards Ceremony was held at Waltham Forest Assembly Hall on the evening of 7th December 2011. Alhamdulillaah, this event recognised the outstanding achievements of a number of organisations and individuals in the Borough who have excelled in their respective fields. Nominations were sought from across the borough, and the winners were chosen by the Council of Mosques. Masjid al-Tawhid was represented at the event by the Chairman Mehmud Patel.
