First WFCOM Awards Ceremony

The first Waltham Forest Council of Mosques (WFCOM) Awards Ceremony was held at Waltham Forest Assembly Hall on the evening of 7th December 2011. Alhamdulillaah, this event recognised the outstanding achievements of a number of organisations and individuals in the Borough who have excelled in their respective fields. Nominations were sought from across the borough, and the winners were chosen by the Council of Mosques. Masjid al-Tawhid was represented at the event by the Chairman Mehmud Patel.

The Winners in the various categories were :

Community Development : Revert2Reality, represented by Sr Aliya Iqbal & Br Talat Sultan

Community Relations & Leadership : Br Abid Hussain

Youth Development : 1st Waltham Forest Scouts (Noor-ul-Islam), represented by Br Salim Hansa, Br Nadeem Malik & Sr Naila Azam

Sports : Legion Wrestling, represented by Br Amir Eslami

Business : Islamic Impressions, represented by Br Sheraz Ahmed

Woman of the Year : Sr Nusrat Siddiqui

Health : Br Imran Abbasi

Educational Achievement : Br Suleman Khan

Masjid & Madrasah al-Tawhid congratulates all the nominees for their outstanding achievements, and we pray that Allah 'azzal wa jall puts barakah in the efforts of all Muslims.
