Women's Parenting Seminar
One Day Seminar for Women - Saturday 10th December 2011
Masjid al-Tawhid has organised a women's seminar in December for a series of beneficial talks on a topic of great importance - parenting. Delivered by Sr. Rahma Abdul-Latif, a well-respected and experienced counsellor, masha Allah.
Lecture titles :
1. No way to be a perfect mother - but a million ways to be a good one.
Self-reflection as a parenting tool.
2. Children - a work in progress.
Laying the foundations. Enjoying the journey!
3. The myth of the 'teenager'.
Creating the relationship you want.
4. Workshop - 'Homeschooling, Muslim school or State school?' The dilemma.
5. Question and answer session.
Delivered by Sr. Rahma Abdulatif, founder of "Be alive!" (www.bealive.org.uk). A mother of four, she has trained as a counsellor (certified NLP practitioner) and currently works with young people in a secondary school. She is also an accredited parenting practitioner who has delivered popular Islamic parenting courses all over the UK.
Refreshments will be provided.

Time: 10am- 5pm (Registration at 9.30am)
